Lee Wallace has urged Rangers fans to be patient as the new management duo of Mark Warburton and David Weir look to lead the Ibrox club back to the Scottish Premiership.
The Gers are preparing for another tilt at the Championship following their failure in the play-off final last season where they lost 6-1 to Motherwell over two legs.
Left-back Wallace, 27, revealed a new style of play is being set down at the club by Warburton and his assistant, a former Rangers captain, and says both the players and fans have to give it time to come to fruition. He told Rangers TV: "The manager and Davie have spoken about how they want everybody to be playing and we're going to look to build through the goalie and play through the thirds.
"You've heard everybody talk about the style of play we are trying to achieve here to get the fans excited.
"The style is going to be different for everybody here and for Rangers as a club and it will be a style that requires patience.
"Not just patience from the players, because we know it is going to be a difficult style, but it's one that is proven and one that will make us successful.
