Chelsea to target Blaise Matuidi (with no evidence), Barca want Theo Walcott (which we don’t believe a word of), Liverpool contact Carlo (hmm)
MATUIDI TO CHELSEA
Chelsea could certainly do with a central midfielder, and the Daily Star claim that Paris St Germain’s Blaise Matuidi is that man. They believe that Matuidi is to be John Obi Mikel’s replacement at the Bridge, and not before time.
Unfortunately, the whole thing seems to be based on the square root of very little. The Star report that the story is taken from tuttomercatoweb.com, but it only takes a little bit of investigation to realise what’s wrong there. A quick search on tuttomercatoweb reveals that their last story about Matuidi was on September 14. Ermmm?

Henderson breaks foot, faces two month lay-off
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson faces around two months out after suffering a broken foot in a ‘freak accident’ in training.
Henderson has been out injured since the victory over Bournemouth last month, and had traveled to America in order to help aid his recovery from a heel problem.

But the Reds captain has suffered a major setback after breaking his foot in an incident unrelated to said injury in training.
The 25-year-old now faces around two months on the sidelines after what the Daily Mail have described as a ‘freak accident’, with Henderson likely to undergo surgery on the broken bone in his right foot early next week.
Sir Alex Ferguson has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a “great, great kid” and a “serious professional” despite his tendency to stand in front of the mirror “loving himself”.
Ferguson – talking to the Daily Telegraph – clearly saw the Portuguese winger’s ego as a positive trait; it has certainly helped him become one of the best players in the world.

“You have to embrace it,” said Ferguson when asked about managing the egos of modern footballers. “Dealing with an ego doesn’t bother me. You used to see [Cristiano] Ronaldo standing in front of the mirror loving himself. But it was a nice vanity.

“The players used to throw jockstraps, boots and all sorts at him. It never bothered him one bit.

“They need to win, these guys: the ones that are cultivating their egos a little bit. You might see a player in a Ferrari and think – what’s he driving that for? But he has to live with that. He’s not going to be driving into town when he’s bottom of the league, or he’s been dropped. Some people can’t judge that. True players can.”
